The PURE! Dream Centre (PDC) provides a safe haven, care and education to about 60 children between the age of 6 to 11 years old. Development is very important at the centre; PURE! offers shelter and education to increase the children’s chances for a better future. Education teaches the children to look at their own development in a very positive way.

The findings from the community research performed by PURE! in April 2010 showed that food shortages are a severe problem for the children enrolled in the education program at the PURE! Dream Centre and many children are underweight. This effects their school performance; the children have difficulties to focus and they are very tired.
We started to build a kitchen at the PDC, as soon as the kitchen is ready to use we will start with the lunch program. We expect to start in June 2011.
We have three new classrooms at our PURE! Dream Centre where we currently offer a stimulating and safe environment to about 59 children. The children can enjoy their childhood; they can study, learn and play with their friends. An environment in which they are valued, respected and listened to.
We are looking for sponsors for these children. By sponsoring one of these children you will help to build a better future for this child. For more information please contact us and /or have a look at sponsor a PURE! child.
In 2011 we will start with a home-based program for mothers of the children who go to the PURE! Dream Centre and sewing training for young girls from the Kandek community. Both programs will start in 2011, we will inform you about the developments. We could really use the help of sponsors for both programs, so if you are interested to support one of these programs please contact us.
PURE! for kids believes that vocational training is crucial for the development of young people, especially young girls. The home-based program with natural fibres is started to create a better home situation for the families. Home-based employment provides the opportunity for women to earn some money while combining work and home responsibilities.
