Reorganization PURE!
After four successful years, thanks to the efforts of volunteers and sponsors, PURE! has grown incredibly hard. We are a success and have inspired hundreds of people. Now it's time to grow in a professional manner. We reserve the small idea but want a team of knowledge and experience. Together we want to help more projects and reach children and young people in developing countries. We have literally outgrown our offering around volunteering at projects in Southeast Asia.
In the past months, our board and team talked extensively about the future of our foundation. In december 2011 we have jointly decided that we want to split the in the foundation's activities. Firstly, the PURE! Dream Centre (PDC) and on the other side the volunteer section.
With this in mind we have decided to stop with the volunteer activity within the foundation PURE! for kids. The foundation continues to exist and focus on the PDC and Fair Trade. Board member Joyce Mulleners in the Netherlands will take on the daily running around the PDC and Nicoline Westen will take care about the Fair Trade. The current board remains.
All activities related to volunteering will move by the first of March 2012 and will be placed under foundation Be More Nijmegen (www.be-more.nl). They will in addition to their existing projects in Africa now also offer PURE! projects in Cambodia, Laos and Bali. Part of the team remains committed and is working at Be More from March 1, 2012.
Our newsletter and website will now be dominated by the PURE! Dream Centre and PURE! Fair Trade, which is very successful is growing thanks to the support of volunteers and sponsors! We hope to continue working together towards a better future for children in developing countries.
