1%PROJECT accomplished!
In barely a month time we succeeded in raising € 1.917 euro – through the 1%CLUB – for our project ‘Pots, pans and ladles to make Cambodian dreams come true’. With the support of no less than 171 1%MEMBERS the great result shows that together we can really make a difference. The 60 eager pupils of the PURE! Dream Centre (PDC) are yet one step closer to a daily nutritious meal. To all 171 sponsors: many thanks!
In 2011 we will start a lunch program at the PDC. The children will no longer need to live on only two small meals a day, containing of only rice with a bit of salt. They will be given a nutritious (variety of) meal(s) on which it will be so much easier to concentrate. With the support of the 1%CLUB (the international marketplace that connects smart development projects with people, money and knowledge around the world) we have been able to raise € 1.917 for furnishing the kitchen and dining area and for purchasing kitchen utensils, plates and cutlery. To prevent disappointment, before we can actually commence the lunch program we first need to cover the exploitation costs of the first year; once a lunch always a lunch!
