Cambodia
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world. A country with a horrible history, a low average age and many young people who grew up in difficult circumstances. Basic needs like love, education and adequate nutrition are very poor. The courage and positive attitude of the population towards the future is amazing. For these special people to help one step further in the right direction, PURE! works with local communities and partner organizations to improve the situation of children. PURE! believes in the power of education and the efforts of volunteers and so together we make a difference for children in Cambodia.
Since 2010 PURE! runs it's own educational and vocational trainingcentre in Cambodia.
Bali
Bali is often described as a tropical paradise resort, but what people do not know that most of the Balinese population lives in poverty. They can not satisfy basic needs as shelter, food and education. The government is doing its best to make education accessible to all children, but their quality is generally below standard. Often, teachers are teaching at different schools, there is hardly present study material and the Government money is not coming to the right place. Education is often the first thing that parents can no longer afford. And without education, the children have no chance for a better future ... Through your efforts volunteering with PURE!, the chances of a good future for these children increases!
Thailand
Thailand is one of the most popular travel and holiday destinations. The beautiful scenery, its many cultural attractions, delicious cuisine and hospitable people make a big impression on visitors to the country. Part of the population benefits greatly from tourism but there is also a large part of the Thai population living below the poverty line, especially in rural areas. The 2004 tsunami has had a great impact on the country. Many people lost their homes and incomes. During your volunteerwork with PURE! you help on several projects aimed at children and young people into the unknown, unspoilt Thailand. This gives you a unique opportunity to the real Thailand and get to know the culture.
