Nicoline Westen - Founder, chairman and Fair Trade
My first trip to Cambodia in March 2007 changed my life forever. The love and the smiles of the children were so overwhelming. Back in the Netherlands, I couldn’t get Cambodia out of my head and I knew: I must do something with this. Education is of great importance for children in Cambodia to have a better future, and for this reason the foundation PURE! for kids, shortly PURE!, started. PURE! started from my passion and love for the children in Cambodia. You can reach me through nicoline@pureforkids.org.
Joyce Mulleners - Manager The Netherlands PURE! Dream Centre
There are many things in Life That Will Catch Your Eye but only a few catch your heart ... a sentence that I read on a card during my volunteer work in Cambodia for PURE! in 2009. And that's for sure ... The children in Cambodia are in my heart and I am now committed as a board member of PURE!. I am concerned with networking, fundraising, organizing events, presentations, image, text and styling. I live in Limburg and focuses mainly on my region of South Netherlands. You can reach me via joyce@pureforkids.org.
Goedhart Westen - Board Member
Since the start of PURE! for kids I have been involved as a board member. Nicoline is my daughter and I have supported her from the start in this great initiative. I support the foundation by means of knowledge and advice regarding issues such as staff, management and daily operations.
Ineke Leferink - Education coordinator PURE! Dream Centre
In 2009 I went to Siem Reap as a PURE! volunteer and since September 2010 I am working for PURE! for Kids as education coordinator in Cambodia. Originally I am a teacher but I have worked a long time in the agricultural sector as a quality manager. In early 2010 I decided to quit my job in order to commit to PURE! for a longer period of time. Most of the time I'm at the PURE! Dream Center where I support the Cambodian teachers and the volunteers in different areas with the aim to improve the quality of the education and the project.
Daniela Waas - Financial administration and vocational training PDC
Having worked for several years at financial departments of commercial companies I decided to change course in early 2011. Find out for myself what I really think is important. The country was Cambodia and PURE! the foundation for which I could work. In August 2011 I started at the PDC to support Ineke, our education coordinator. The activities range from theme weeks to writing lessons, testing of children and making teaching materials. Since January I also do the daily finances and I supervise the sewing training for the young women in our community with Sitha
Sitha Sek - Assistant coordinator PURE! Dream Centre
I am working for PURE! for kids since the start of the PURE! Dream Centre in May 2010. I like my job and I especially like the children. I work at the PURE! Dream Centre as the project assistant, which means that I virtually do anything what I can do. My tasks are very divers and range from small administrative tasks, to monitoring building projects and facilitating the home-based production program. Next to this I teach the computer class once a week and I help to create the lessons.
Bopha Pep - Social worker PURE! Dream Centre
I am one of the Cambodian staff members of PURE! for kids. I have been working at the PURE! Dream Centre as a social worker since September 2010. In my field I work closely with the parents of the children, the children and the teachers from the public school. Next to that I teach Living Values for two days a week. I like my job and the children a lot. The children at the centre are funny, lovely, smart and honest. They can make you laugh, I really love them!
Samnang You - English teacher PURE! Dream Centre
I am the English teacher at the PURE! Dream Centre. I have been working for PURE! for kids since July 2010. I love teaching, especially teaching English. It is my favorite language. I would love to see the children growing up and become very good English speakers. That is my ambition!
